Some of the greatest thought leaders of our time say their #1 business strategy is to trust their instincts, especially when it comes making difficult decision.
We are living in a world and time that values intellect and logic over heart. A time drenched in masculine energy.
The thing is, we’re emotional, feeling creatures. So we feel conflicted between ourselves and societal norms. But there is an undercurrent happening right now to bring more feminine energy, more heart into how we live our lives, how we run our businesses, how we interact and care for the world around us.
Rocking our inner compass means getting out of our heads and tapping into our feelings and our intuition.
Understanding our intuition can be difficult when we’re constantly told to think our way through things, rather than feel. We’ve become disconnected from our bodies. (Do I feel that way? Or do I think I feel that way?)
Often when I ask a client how they feel about something, I get a response like “I think…” instead of “I feel…”.
“How do you feel about your promotion?”
“I think it’s going to be a great move.”
“I feel ecstatic about the opportunity.”
See the difference? Get out of your head.
“I rely far more on gut instinct than researching huge amounts of statistics.” – Sir Richard Branson
Intuition is your guide.
Our intuition is unique to each person which is also what makes it so freaking awesome. You’ll have to discover how yours speaks to you. Once you do, you’ll be able to trust yourself and any decisions you make. This may take a little practice. Pay attention to your body.
If you can learn to be present in your body, not your head, and recognize how it responds to everyday situations and important decisions, you’ll have a powerful navigation system at your fingertips.
